  • We are studying reduction of compensatory trunk movements for stroke survivors through the use of robotic devices.

  • A glance at the controllers and game for our FEATHERS project. We hope to make the rehabilitation user experience more compelling, effective and sustainable by using video games.

The RREACH Lab has moved in with the CARIS Lab full-time! Please visit the CARIS Lab for current projects related to RREACH Lab’s interests. This website is now an archive of our past projects.

We created the Robotics for Rehabilitation, Exercise and Assessment in Collaborative Healthcare (RREACH) Lab to focus specifically on biomedical engineering projects involving upper limb therapy for persons with neurological impairment. The lab has robotics and motion capture devices to investigate different ways of designing exercise regimens to create more engaging, context-relevant, and effective experiences for persons undergoing therapy. The RREACH Lab currently is home to the FEATHERS project studying using commercial active gaming technology for at-home rehabilitation applications. SleepSmart is a biomedical engineering project focused on using wireless sensing technology to diagnose sleep disorders.
